Meet our fearless leader! Allison is the proud owner of Roast'd Yoga Bar. She has created this sacred space and is excited to share her vision with you.
Allison is an 200ERYTand YACEP. She first started teaching yoga in 2018 after completing her 200 hour training. She fell in love with teaching Hot Vinyasa and Power Flows. Always eager to learn more, she completed a second 200hr training in 2021 where she found an even deeper love for Rocket Yoga and Ashtanga.
Continuing her education even further and adding some Yin to her Yang, she is currently a 300hr student focusing on Yin, Restorative, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra.
Allison has completed over 500 hours of training and taught over 1,000 classes. Her classes range from Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, and Rocket.
She looks sweet but she will leave you sweaty and pushing boundaries. She believes in creating classes that are welcoming to all levels and leave you feeling strong and empowered.
Katie is a 500RYT, 200ERYT, and YACEP at our studio. She began teaching yoga in 2017 after completing her 200hr yoga teacher training in Pensacola, Florida after two years as a dedicated student. In early 2020, she traveled to the birth place of yoga, Rishikesh, India to complete her 300 hour YTT. Katie has over 1500 hours of teaching time and she provides continuing education hours for Yoga Alliance with her diverse workshops. Katie has studied many different types of yoga including holistic, vinyasa, hatha, and Bhakti. Her goal is to inspire students to smile, practice, and love themselves more fiercely than ever while gently encouraging them to step outside of their comfort zones. When she isn’t on her mat, she is usually traveling, playing with her dogs, or studying environmental science for her MS program.
Alex began her journey with yoga after experiencing debilitating pain and injuries from a background in endurance athletics. However, it was experiencing the mental benefits and community around yoga that made this a lifelong practice. With a background in Bikram and Ashtanga, she evolved her focus to vinyasa as her primary style to teach and practice, with creative and strength-based flows as her favorite. Teaching all over the United States, she is passionate about sharing this amazing form of movement with elderly, disabled, and also underserved communities.
Chelsea grew up in a military family, eventually settling in Southern California before moving to North Carolina in 2014 to be near family. In 2019, she relocated to Okinawa, Japan, just before the COVID-19 pandemic. A beach yoga class in March 2021 sparked a life-changing passion, leading her to practice regularly and complete a 200-hour teacher training at The Yoga Tree Okinawa later that year. She stayed on as an instructor and worked with the military community, helping develop yoga programs at Kadena Air Base.
In October 2022, Chelsea completed a 300-hour training with House of Om in Bali. After returning to North Carolina, she began teaching at Hot Asana in Southern Pines and continued to expand her skills. In 2023, she completed two more certifications: a 25-hour Hot Holds training and a 50-hour Inside Flow training in Portugal.
Now based in Navarre, Florida, Chelsea is excited to join the team at Roast’d in Destin. She brings a deep love for yoga, movement, music, and mental health awareness, and looks forward to growing with the local community.
Lauran started practicing yoga to find balance her in life and accounting career back in 2014. After a few years, she took the leap to become and CYT 200 in 2018 with her local studio. She brings in mindfulness, breath control, and dad jokes. You'll be motivated and find the perfect balance to your practice in her class.
Jimmy’s yoga journey began with a desire to live a gentler life. Through the ebb and flow of poses, he’s experienced the impact of intentional movement and breath, shaping the body and the mind. His journey with Roast'd has played a crucial role in cultivating confidence and deeper growth into the realms of yoga. Jimmy is a former student of the 2023 Roast’d 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. In his classes, he creates a welcoming and calming environment. Exploring powerful poses with a gradual approach and encouraging an alignment of the mind and body into the present moment.
Lindsay discovered her love for yoga early on when she began taking classes regularly as a teenager. At first it just began as a way for her to stay in shape and connect with family (her mother is also a yoga teacher) but very quickly she realized that yoga was so much more than that. Her passion led her to study at Innersea Yoga Academy in Uvita, Costa Rica not once, but twice! At 24, she is a RYT 500 who has studied vinyasa, ashtanga, yin, and yoga nidra. She is also a certified Reiki Master. Yoga has been the bridge that has allowed her to heal, and to grow into the space of healing others. She sees herself as an eternal student and will always be delighted to gain knowledge from others, share philosophies, and live as an example of what it truly means to be a yogi: mind, body, earth, spirit all delicately intertwined by breath!
Jocelyn is a free spirited traveling yoga teacher. She earned her 200 hour certification from Nomad Yoga School in Costa Rica and now teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative yoga. She is also certified in guided meditation. Jocelyn’s purpose for teaching is to spread light and love to all her students, providing them a peaceful and safe place to practice. After living in Thailand for a couple months, she fell in love with seeing the world. Now she studies Anthropology through University of Florida, her dream is to travel the world while studying cultures and helping others. When she’s not in the studio, she is exploring around the globe or planning her next adventure.
After a lumber back stress fracture in 2012, Sierra discovered yoga, and somehow healed far sooner than what the doctors expected. Amazed with the mental health benefits as well, she felt an immense desire to share with others. Sierra earned her 200 hour certification in 2016, after studying under Sid McNairy at Sid yoga center in Towson Maryland. Sierra has always felt called to alternative methods of healing and self discovery… forms of exercise physically , mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Sierra began teaching in 2016, at fitness centers, studios, addiction centers and lacrosse teams. Sierra earned her undergraduate degree from Towson university in health and physical education, where she enjoyed lacrosse and soccer. Since moving from Baltimore, Sierra works for a Montessori school, Didactic Wonderings forest school, as a VPK gymnastics coach and youth lacrosse coach. When she’s not in the studio, you can catch her gardening, wood burning, or finding new hiking spots.
Phillip is a yogi, a philosopher, a teacher, a parent, a son, a brother, a friend, and above all else a student of life. He grew up in the panhandle of Florida, and now lives and works in Destin. He has had many incredible teachers who have helped him develop a very unique and foundational approach to teaching yoga. In Phillip’s classes expect to learn about breath control, meditation, and conscious movement, and expect to leave with a deeper understanding of how to apply the teachings to your life.
Kyrt grew up in Destin and has always considered this little slice of paradise her home. After earning her degree from FSU in 2022 (Go Noles!), she pursued her passion for movement and mindfulness, completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Roast'd Yoga Bar in 2024. She began yoga to support her mental health, but the peace and balance she found on the mat kept her coming back for more. Kyrt’s favorite classes to teach are Vinyasa Flows—a vibrant mix of creativity, mindfulness, and fun, just like her! When she’s not on the mat, you’ll find her off on an adventure, chasing after waves to surf, or playing mermaids at the beach.
Ashley’s yoga journey is one of learning to truly breathe. She found a peace & presence in yoga that was only accessible when you’re wholly embodied in the moment. It lead her to Roast’d to do her first teacher training and later to Bali for another, both on her arduous journey to grace. She finds so much joy in asana and believes movement is the medicine—her desire is to inspire curiosity and be able to share what she’s found in her practice with others.
Lex comes to us from all over (no, really, ask her and see if you've ever crossed paths)! She is an RYT 200 and Hot Holds instructor. She completed her training in 2019 from Hot Asana Yoga University. She teaches yoga full-time and has her own private practice, too. Her favorite class to teach is a Vinyasa style class. When she isn't at the studio, she is playing in the dirt and being an excellent plant mom (and dog mom)!
Jen received her 200-hr RYT from My Vinyasa Practice. In 2021 she completed her Prenatal certification for pre- and post- natal yoga. She started her practice 15 years ago and when COVID-19 happened, she took the opportunity to become a teacher herself! She is a marine biologist by trade and brings her love of the ocean into her flows. She is currently on hiatus bringing the newest addition to the Roast'd Family into the world! Catch her after maternity leave!
Abbey was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She began her yoga journey in 2009, attending weekly classes. Having been a gymnast all her life, the postures were exciting and as close to "adult gymnastics" as you could get in Memphis. But the breath work and meditation were challenging and kept her coming back! She began a daily home practice in 2013. In 2017, Abbey completed a 50 hour FLY intensive in Boulder, and a 200 hour Ashtanga/Vinyasa teacher training certification with Bodhi Yoga Academy in Bali. She is excited to share her love of yoga and being upside down with yogis on the Emerald Coast! Abbey graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Christian Brothers University in 2011.
